'Twist of Lime'

H. 'Twist of Lime' growing at Shades of Green

This is one of our favorite small hostas at Shades of Green.  'Twist of Lime' emerges very bright in early spring.  As the season progresses, the bright green leaves are surrounded with a very thin darker green margin.  The plant forms a very compact, lush clump that resembles a bouquet of leaves!  'Twist of Lime' is one of the first hostas to emerge in the spring, always bringing a bright splash of color to the landscape just as spring flowers begin to bloom.  This hosta is great planted in the front of the shade border or in small groups for true impact.  Many small lavender flowers are held on sturdy stems in early summer.
